"THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF CAMDEN DISTRIBUTING
SECTION 8 APPLICATIONS TO RESIDENTS OF CAMDEN COUNTY"
The Housing Authority of the City of Camden will distribute 1250
Section 8 applications
to residents who reside in Camden County on Saturday, July 27, 2002
beginning 8:00 a.m. The HACC's main office located at 1300 Admiral
Wilson Boulevard, Camden, New Jersey is the designated site where
applications will be issued.
July 27, 2002, marks the second time the Authority has afforded
the residents of Camden City and Camden County the opportunity of
Section 8 vouchers. August 2000 was the Authority's first initiative
consisting of a 1 ½ day process. The response was enormous
and an overwhelming response is anticipated for Saturday. Many Camden
City residents took advantage of the Section 8 vouchers and are
living throughout Camden, Burlington, Salem and Atlantic Counties.
Dr. Maria Marquez, Executive Director, states, "The Housing
Authority of the City of Camden is taking every precaution to make
this a smooth and orderly process. Once again, the HACC is delighted
to provide housing choices for the residents of Camden County and
assist Camden City with the reduction of homelessness".
